A Proud Moment
It started as a diary. There were so many things happening, so many things we were learning and experiencing, I wanted to capture all those memories to look back on, and appreciate all the steps we went through. It had been a long term goal of mine to own some property. Once we started looking in earnest, and then finally found the perfect place, little did we know how existing and equally stressful it would be.
Writing has always been part of my life, a passion. It seemed a logical step to turning a fun hobby into the record of such a momentous event. After months and months of sh***y first drafts as my fellow writer call them, I had a final draft. Then the editing, proof reading, editing again. Then finally it was ready to go out into the world.
The box arrived on the porch, and I couldn't wait to open. Carefully cutting the tape to be sure not to damage any of the books. Then I had a copy in my hands. It looked like a real book!
